Charamel and Materna present the avatar-based check-in system.
At this year?s Passenger Terminal Expo in London (24th ? 26th March 2009) Materna presented the first avatar-based check-in system. The virtual assistant guides the traveller via speech through the check-in process at the terminal. The point of this avatar application is a more effective and shorter process at the machines, more comfort and service. Charamel developed the character, and Materna integrated the avatar and CharActor SDK software in its CUSS platform. As one of worldwide most famous Common-Use-Self-Service (CUSS) supplier for airports and airlines Materna supports a quick and cost-effective service at the check-in machines.
